Description
Pomo Bowl from California. Wide coiled Pomo basket. The basket is tan with a dark reddish brown design. The motif is repeated three times around the circumference of the basket. The design consists of a square with the vertical lines continuing from the top to the bottom of the basket. The squares in the center have two perpendicular segments extending from each of the vertical sides approximately 6 cm. These segments are 6-7 rows tall. In between each of these patterns, there is a rectangle at the rim of the basket 4 cm long, numbering 3 in total. The bottom of the basket as a dark brown circle with four rectangles opposite each other in pairs. Accessions information sheet is missing, however the card for G891 is present in the file.
