Black and white aerial photograph taken from the top of a cliff circa 1918. The photo looks down upon the Colorado River cutting through a mountain landscape, with a dam visible near the bottom right corner of the frame. A road runs above the river on the right riverbank, and a train goes by on tracks along the left riverbank. The location is identified as the Colorado River's dam near Cameo, CO, for the pumping plant for Stub and Price ditches, located just east of Palisade, CO.Written on the back of the photo in blue ink, black ink, and pencil is the message, "About 1918 Eyer / Up Grand River [Colorado River] canon / from top of cliff. In / lower corner - dam / for our pumping plant. / Just east of Palisade - for / Stub and Price ditches."
