"Burrell Reynolds was born to Hubert and Minnie Reynolds in Las Animas in 1891. Burrell graduated from Greeley High School. He then attended Colorado State University and worked as a civil engineer for two years. Burrell then attended Northwestern University School of Pharmacy. Burrell entered the military in Denver on February 12, 1918 in the Flying Cadet Aviation Squad 11. Burrell married Ella Wilson on January 15, 1921, and together they had two children, Burrell C. Reynolds Jr. (February 1929-January 23, 1998) and Dorothy Ann “Toni” Reynolds (July 7, 1922-November 17, 2012). Burrell operated a drugstore and later became Mesa County Treasurer in 1941. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, Sigma Nu Fraternity, and the Chamber of Commerce. Burrell died in 1961."
