William J. Quinn was the County Treasurer who was convicted for stealing $15,000 frrom Mesa County in late 1893. He served his sentence in Canon City. Was found living in Oregon in 1910 and Washington in 1920 as "James Quinn." He owned a cabin on Mesa Lake in 1893 but sold it in 1894.
