Donald Albert Finch was born September 26, 1914, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He spent several years on Georgia Mesa/Molina, Colorado, living with his aunt, Mrs. George Miller, while he attended grade and high school. After high school, he attended Grand Junction Junior College, graduating in 1934. He was employed at a stock farm in Grand Junction before leaving for California in late 1934. Finch married his wife, Mona, who he had two daughters with. Both children predeceased him. He passed away in 1990 and was buried in Clarkdale, Arizona.
