The Armory

315 Rood Avenue. After the Colorado National Guard sold the building to Chester Nichols, it became an entertainment center hosting performers such as Anna Pavlova, the ballerina, and John Phillip Sousa. It was located downtown on Rood Avenue, and was a meeting place for the Chamber of Commerce and for the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's. It also accommodated dancing and skating.
