Description
Large deeply corner-notched Archaic P.P.  Expanding  stem, convex base w / small flake missing.  Blade is triangular w / collateral flaking and finely serrated margins.  Bridger chert-P.B.
Triangular blade, collateral flaking, bifacial edge retouch along all margins with slight serrations along both margins, and is lenticular in cross section. Step fractures are visible on both faces and one of the corners of the base has a bending fracture.
Projectile Point 1 (PP 1) consists of a complete deeply corner notched projectile point with expanding base manufactured of semi-translucent brown chert measuring 44 x 28 x 4 mm. PP 1 exhibits a triangular blade, collateral flaking, bifacial edge retouch along all margins with slight serrations along both margins, and is lenticular in cross section. Step fractures are visible on both faces. One of the corners of the base exhibits a bending fracture. PP 1 most closely resembles the large corner notched projectile points dating to the Archaic Era (8350 – 2350 B.P.).
