Polychome Coiled Basket with Tree, Beaded Human and Dog Decoration. The basket is a cylinder that widens towards the top. It is woven in coiled tan material. The design includes red diamonds bordering the circumference of the top. The diamonds are outlined in green and have a green center. Designs around the circumference of the body and foot include a red dog. The dog has two beads remaining below its midsection. To the right of the dog, there is an anthropomorphic figure in red. Its hands are raised and its legs are spread so each foot is pointing outward. The left food is beaded in green with blue at the top of its 'shoe.' The figure has a right eye bead remaining. To the right of the figure, there is a green 'T' and next, two diamonds in black. The diamonds are stacked on top one another and have a dark center and outline with tan color between. The bottom diamond's outline extends to form a triangle with a side parallel to the bottom of the basket. Next, there are two red diamonds or bird shapes outlined in green. The top of the top shape is woven in a darker red/brown color. Next, there is a tree woven in red with dark brown weave and the top of its first two stacked triangles. Next, there is another 'T' shape in black. It originates from the North West Coast.
