Description
Coiled Pima Basket from Southern Arizona. Donated by William Endner, August 1975. The basket has a coiled dark brown/black rim. The design features a series of steps spiraling from the center of the basket to the rim. The design is in the same dark brown/black color as the rim. At the bottom of the basket there is a circle at the center, where the steps meet like rays of the sun. There are a total of five rays extending from the circle in the center. Each 'ray' is one row in width as it extends horizontally and four rows as it extends vertically. The bottom is flat.
