Navajo water carrier. The basket is coiled and has a fishtail weave rim. The jug also has two horse hair handle loops approximately ten cm apart at the shoulder of the jug. The jug has a wide round base and a tall thin neck. The Horse hair is braided and then coiled around the two loops, forming one handle each. The jug is undecorated and does not appear to have much of hte water sealing residue left. The jug is tan in color and the horse hair is black. Yellow tag removed from the bottom, "5490." Tag left in accession file. Northern Arizona. Donated by William Endner, August 1975.
