Historical artifact -- Specimen, Animal

Identifier:
G16
Description
Male clouded sulphur of the eriphyle subspecies (Colias philodice eriphyle) - a subspecies of butterfly - specimen, pressed inside of an almost flat, rectangular, plastic container. There is a raised "bubble" in the center of the plastic that houses the body of the specimen.

Original label identifies the specimen as "[Male] Colias Eurytheme Eriphyle" - an outdated scientific name - and suggests that it was collected in Fruita, Colorado, presumably by Will Minor. Specimen is mostly yellow, with brown and orange details.
