Description
Female semiramis fritillary (Argynnis coronis semiramis) - a species of butterfly - specimen, pressed inside of an almost flat, rectangular, plastic container. There is a raised "bubble" in the center of the plastic that houses the body of the specimen.

Original label identifies the specimen as "[Female] Argynnis Adiaste Semiramis" - an outdated scientific name - and notes that it was collected in the San Bernardino Mountains in California. The underside of the specimen is tan/orange with dark brown, medium brown, black, and metallic-silver details. The opposite side is orange with dark brown details.
