Description
Basket (base Flanged). Basket with flanged base. The basket has a fishtail woven rim. It is a tan basket with dark brown/black motifs. The rim is woven in the darker brown color, and the motifs are four rectangles arranged in a N-E-S-W pattern, like a four-petaled flower. The center of the motifs match the color of the body of the basket. The bottom rim is woven in dark brown like the top rim. The rectangle-star motifs are stacked in pairs and repeated five times around the walls, slightly unevenly spaced between. Originated from the Pima tribe of Arizona.
