Description
Orange and White Beaded Ute Tobacco Pouch. Soft buckskin pouch with orange and white beading. The pouch is made of 6 petal shaped panels sewn together and pleated in the center. Two leather strings are threaded in each panel through either side of the pleats. The panels have a triangular apex at the opening of the pouch. The seams between each panel and the borders of each panel are beaded in alternating crystal orange and opaque white. There is one design in the center of the two widest panels, opposite each other. The design is also beaded in alternating orange and white, and has four squares arranged in a diamond. Each of the squares has three rays pointing out from their outside points. In between each square there is a line extending past the diamond and with three rays extending from each line.
