Description
Cream silk crepe wedding dress with fake pearl decoration. The front skirt is gathered into the side side seams, and overlaps in the front over a pleated underskirt. The neckline includes a yoke with multiple rows of ruching. The top of the sleeves is ruched chiffon or netting. The back of the dress includes some bias draping and more chiffon. There is a lace inset in the neckline, and a large silk bow and belt at the waist. The skirt has a pointed train with a nickel-sized metal weight attached.
The design seems to have been inspired by the fashions of Paul Poiret and Mario Fortuny.
