Description
Black and white photograph postcard sectioned into 9 segments. 8 of these are nature mountainous landscape snapshots, some are blurred. In the center is a message that reads, "DEAR PAL I'm working in the peaches Out here in Palisade, There's fuzz upon my whiskers An' there's whiskers on my legs. Last year I swore I'd pack no more But I'm here, Pal, just the same, A burnin' in the sunshine An' a swimmin' in the rain, I'm making lots of money But all I make is spent, They pay me three for labor Then they charge me three for rent! I guess this countrys getting me --We do have lots of fun-- Just a singin' in the moonlight When the hards days work is done, A watchin' clouds of silver Scud across a sky of blue, Their lonely, flashin' shadows Kiss the lips of star-lit dew. People say this Valleys Heaven That the climate here is swell, But they get so used to sweatin' They would freeze to death in H--l! Its tough an' hot an' lonesome But Pal, I'm just afraid When the harvest starts in '36 I'll be back in Palisade!".
