Description
Dean Studios. Local photographer Frank Dean was known around town for his photography skills and his misspelled sign, which was on purpose to bring people to his studio.

He moved to Grand Junction in 1900 and built his first Grand Junction studio (pictured) on the northwest corner of Fifth Street and Rood Ave. He later sold that location, and the YMCA was built there. Alpine Bank is now at the location (as of January 2024).

After he sold the property to the YMCA, he built a new studio near the southwest corner  of Fifth Street and White Ave.
