Description
Navajo Yei Rug by Virginia Begay (American [Navajo]), c. 1993, hand-woven of machine-spun yarns, 54" x 84". The pattern includes nine yei figures in rust red holding feathers and surrounded on three sides by a rainbow yei. The border is grey, brown, and black and has a row of stepped triangles at top and bottom only. First Prize winner at Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, Gallup, NM, 1993.
