Description
"Erma Francis (American [Navajo]), Wide Ruins pattern rug, c. 1994, hand-spun and hand-woven wool in vegetal colors plus natural white, 40"x32". The pattern consists of alternating horizontal bands: one group including a row of diamonds in light brown, blue, and white; the other group being mauve and white stripes, some with dentil motifs. Second Prize winner at Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, Gallup, NM, 1994."
