Description
Navajo Chinle Rug by Alice Smith (American [Navajo]), Chinle pattern rug, c. 2014, hand-woven of machine-spun and aniline dyed wool, 37" x 25". The pattern consists of a column of three serrated diamonds each containing concentric serrated bands in black, white, and four shades of brown. The column creates serrated triangles at the sides composed of concentric bands of white, grey, blue, and two shades of green.
