Description
Gray Chinese long blouse or a Cheongsam and a black skirt.
The cheongsam is a high neck long shirt that buttons at the neck (front) and down the left side. Shoulder seams are natural with long sleeves. Sleeves have a black hem decorated with symbols. These same symbols are present in the black skirt. The Cheongsam is loose fitting and ends below the hips.
Skirt is a black linen decorated with motifs and ends about the calf. The skirt has slits up the side on both sides. The waistband of the skirt has a tan waistband that ties together at the hips.
A note with the item reads: "1919, worn in China when she toured Asia and the Philippines, 24 yrs."
