Served as chief of the Unconpahagee Utes from 1860-1880 

5' 7" stocky-frame

Spoke English, Spanish, Ute Apache, and some of the Pueblo 

Signed the Brunot Treaty in 1873 after the gold and silver rush started in the San Juan Mountains. But the treaty eventually moved to a reservation in Utah and Colorado.
