Pioneer living in the 1880'2 in the Uncompahgre Valley near Montrose, Colorado. The comforts were few and the living hard. Sufficient water to provide a better living arrived finally through the Gunnison Tunnel, which was completed in 1909.This is a black and white photograph picturing a log cabin set on a prairie - esque location. There are two girls and two boys standing next to the side of the cabin going about their daily chores. The sky seems to be clear and sunny, ;Log home with four children infront of it. One child has a wagon he is pulling and the others are standing by barrels.
