39 Images of Soupeaters Christmas Party - circa 1920. Al Look, who wrote "On Guard for The Daily Sentinel, collected old unwanted toys, Grand Junction firemen repaired them and the toys were then given to less fortunate children at a free show at the Avalon Theatre. Around 1,500 children got toys. There are 23 photos in this files No. 39 through 62. Photoswere by Frank Dean.This is a black and white photograph of a crowd of people standing in front of the Avalon theater. Everyone is wearing coats and hats and there is snow on the ground. There is a long stretched ceiling with small lightbulbs hanging off of it.
