Dictating machine, type A Model 10x, that records sound and plays back. Gray in color. Front of the Dictaphone, on the base in yellow text reads, "Dictaphone, Reg., U.S., Pat., Off." There is a plate on the front, near the microphone reading, "Dictaphone, patent notice inside. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., Registered Trade Mark, Marque, M.R. Schutzmarke, Marca Industrial Registrada bajo, NO 2721, Marca Industrial Registra - da NO 11903 8 Enero 1912""Dictating Machine, Type A Model 10X, Sole Manufacturers, Dictaphone Corporation, New York, Made in U.S.A."
There is another plate on the right with instructions, reading, "Install machine with knob at 'A' slide knob slowly towards 'B' until motor operates properly then tighten set screw." The letters A and B on each side of the plate in the left and right lower corners.
