Portrait of Jefferson Davis & Cabinet. Ex-President Jefferson Davis, born June 3, 1808, died December 6, 1889, pictured in the center of the print. Portraits of Robert E. Lee and Joseph E. Johnston to the left and right of Jefferson Davis respectively. Above reads "Memorial to the Loyal Sons of the South, the brave Confederate heroes who fought and gave their lives in the war of secession, 1861 to 1865". On either side two scrolls contain a roster of the names of Confederate Generals. Below Jefferson Davis four generals' portraits within a columnar building with a shield and banner read "A great mind is an altar set on a hill; fame is the birthright of genius; I have erected a monument more lasting than brass". Portraits of Confederate Lieutenant Generals, Major Generals, Brigadier Generals, Admirals, and Commodores boarder the other portraits. Intricate white floral designs surround the portraits.
