1999.55.24a: dress, 1999.55.24b: collared shirt, 1999.55.24c: beltObject consists of dress, short sleeved, button up collared shirt, and belt. Dress and shirt appear to be made from a medium blue cotton fabric, and feature decorative white bands with a light blue floral pattern and scalloped edges (1/2 in wide).
Dress is sleeveless, with a high square neckline. Features decorative floral bands in T-shape going across neckline and down from of dress in two strips. Dress features multiple darts in bodice and skirt, going in at the natural waist, accentuated with a belt. Skirt appears to follow an A-line shape and ends below the knee. Zipper on the side.
Matching collared shirt with attached short sleeves, ends at the waist. Has button closure along front of shirt, 5/6 buttons intact. Features decorative bands along collar and down front of shirt, on each side of the buttons.
Originally identified as homemade in the 1950s.
