Dress: 1999.55.18a, Shawl: 1999.55.18bDress is sleeveless with a rounded neckline. Multiple darts featured in bodice with an empire waist, shown with a band of red fabric, 1" thick, going under the bust and into a bow at the back of the dress. Skirt appears to be calf length, following half circle pattern. Neckline on back of dress goes into a v-shape. Zipper on side of dress.
Shawl is navy in color, made from same fabric as the dress, lining is red. Appears to follow a circular pattern, with no evidence of any fastenings. There is a dart on the back of the shawl.
Dress is identified as being homemade from 1955.
