Two piece set, 1999.55.14a: dress, 1999.55.14b: jacketDress and jacket at made from a lightweight, light purple fabric. Dress is sleeveless with a v-shaped neckline. Multiple darts are featured, as well as a band of light purple fabric going under the bust and around the back of dress (band does not connect in the front). Skirt appears to be calf length, following an a-line pattern. Zipper on side.
Jacket is long sleeved and collared, with four buttons fastening it closed in the front.
Dress and jacket identified as a "going away dress, 6-21-1958", likely worn after being married, when en route to the honeymoon.
