Description
Orange crepe beaded dress circa 1920s. Beading was done in Nederland, CO. Dress has slip attached to the dress at the shoulder straps and the slip is pink silk with trim decoration. Flowers on the orange dress are velvet and the petals are lace. Dress is decorated with rhinestones and beads, making it heavy. Waistline is dropped and trim of the dress is lined with beads and the skirt trim is scalloped. Dress closure are snaps on the left side of the dress and slip.

This dress belonged to Mary Todd, the mother of Myrtle Todd Walsh (friend of the donor). Mary Todd may have been born in Nederland in 1916. She and her husband continued to live there and had their daughter there. By 1998 she was in a nursing home.
