An extremely rare and large vessel from the Sacaton period (900-1100AD) of the Hohokam period.Vessel is decorated with swirls and decorative line work. Vessel is red-on-buff, meaning that it was made with light brown clay and decorated with red geometric patterns.
Very few of these elongated cauldron-shaped vessels have survived. Vessel is elongated along the rim and has been broken and glued back together (unknown with what substance).
