Original watercolor, "Winter Scene, Mack Station." The Uintah Railway carried Gilsonite mined In the Book Cliff mountains to mack, Colorado. At the Mack Station, the black mineral used for paints, inks and asphalt was transferred to the Rio Grande Railroad.On the back of the frame is an envelope taped to the back with a note reading:
"Winter scene ar Mack, Colorado RR, Station"
The Uintah Railway used a number of Rail Autocars. Even the Super had his own. The passenger car in the scene is now stationed at 'Cross Orchards' Mack Rail No. 50 in the foreground picture with the little Tank Engine No. 21
