Western style ladies side saddleEffie Bonney Willsea [1869 - 1950] owned and used this saddle during her time in Grand Junction and Fruita. These saddles fell out of use by the 1910s. No identification marks.
The skirts were oiled leather with a pocket on the off side. Seat is of light colored leather and has machine stitched fancy designs. The underskirt is sheepskin lined. Stirrup leather is connected to an open stirrup. Two leather rigging ties are on the apron. Sixteen row white cinch with brown center, leather girth is included.
Leather is stamped with "Iron Bound", "Raw Hide Covered Tree", "Warranted Genuine Buckskin".
