Description
Beaded Buckskin Pocket Bag. Buckskin pouch with lines of red, white, black, and red beadwork and green beaded scalloped edging around the mouth of the bag. There is a line of white and blue beadwork around the shoulder of the bag, followed by a red, white and blue strip of beadwork with right triangles facing opposite each other, alternating two red and two blue. There are ten vertical stripes of beadwork with two red alternating with white shapes, then two blue alternating with white on each vertical stripe. Around the bottom, there is another line of beadwork horizontally with alternating red and blue triangles, outlined in black, also on a white background. The top of the bag has a sinew sewing drawstring closure. The inside of the bag is lined in a synthetic charcoal colored fabric. The bottom is semi hard and oblong. Possibly a Ute water bag.
