Commemorative ceramic plate with various paintings, all of which are in the same green color and some areas make use of crosshatching style. All of these paintings depicting Grand Junction. The areas depicted are Island Lake, Forest Road, Cold Shivers Point, Veterans Hospital, Colorado River Valley and mountain peaks in the rocky mountains. The center painting depicts a Native American with his horse, a mountain range in the background and some in the foreground.

Along with the paintings is print, done in the same green color, reading, "75th Diamond Jubilee Grand Junction, Colo, Sept 14-22 1882 1957" And besides each of their respective locations are "Forest Road to the high country and mountain lake" "Cold Shivers Point Colorado National Monument" "Veterans Hospital Grand Junction Colorado" "Colorado River Valley Peaches" " Mountain Peaks in the rocky mountains of Colorado" "Island Lake on Grand Mesa the world's largest flat topped mountain" 

On the back of the plate it reads, "This plate commemorates the founding of Grand Junction, Colorado. Located on the western slope of the rocky mountains, it serves as the transportation center of a vast area of farming, ranching and mining country of western Colorado and eastern Utah. Surrounded by the uranium industry and the oil shale deposits of the Colorado plateau, this city with a future to share could well be called the "Energy Capital of the world"
