Oil Painting of the Grand Mesa by C.K Enstrom

According to Mr. Enstrom:

- The view is his favorite on Grand Mesa. To the left in the background is Palisade Point, to the right, the Bookcliffs, and in front of the Bookcliffs, Chalk Mountain. This is a representation of painted from several photographs. Trees have been added to complete the scene.
- The painting took third place in the "Members Art Show '89" at Western Colorado Center for Arts. According to Mr. Enstrom, local professional artist Jack Kephart suggested if the painting were to be sold, it should be sold for $900.00.
- On March 9th, 1989, the Museum insured the work for $500.00 awaiting the availability of an appraiser.
- Other information - Mr. Enstrom began painting following his retirement from the state legislature. He took night classes at Mesa College. Earlier his paintings in different years won first and second places in the "Members Shows: at Western Colorado Center for the Arts.
