Five black-and-white photos glued to poster board depicting information about Western Colorado energy development. 1. "Rangely, in June 1944. Population of the field is now estimated at 6,000." 2. "Production of Gilsonite increased 70% between 1941 and 1946. Demands are far greater than production." 3. "Uravan. Western Colorado produces 94.3 per cent of U. S. Vanadium." 4. "The Grand Junction district has 556 square miles of coal beds—12,178,214,000 short tons of coal available for mining." 5. "According to an estimate. by American Petroleum Institute, the U. S. has 20,269,336,000 barrels of proven petroleum reserves as of January 1, 1946. At least double the amount will eventually be recovered from oil shale."
