Description
Snapshot photograph of a wagon identified as being part of Grand Junction's 1894 Peach Day celebration, September 11, 1894. The wagon is pulled by two white horses in the middle of a dirt road. One man drives the wagon while another man stands on the flat bed of the wagon holding up replicas of a peach and pear that are almost as tall as he is. Two-story stone storefront buildings are visible behind the wagon, including First National Bank and a drug store. Six unidentified men, one on a bicycle, stand on the sidewalk behind the wagon. Two unidentified women are visible looking out of the second story window of the building directly behind the wagon, which is unmarked.

Attached to the bottom left corner of the photo is a piece of paper with the following typed caption: "Peach Day 1894". Written on the back of the photo in pencil is the message, "Peach Day Sept 11, 1894".
