Postcard photograph of Palisade, Colorado's, celebration of Iowa Day circa 1911. The photo shows Palisade's Main Street, facing south. The street is roped off. Two USA flags and a banner that reads "WELCOME" stretch across the street. Storefronts decorated with American flags line both sides of the street, and the sidewalks are crowded with unidentified people. One woman crosses the street right behind the rope.Attached to the bottom of the photo is a piece of paper with the following typed caption: "Iowa Day in Palisade about 1911.Looking South, with Jordon Inn on Right". Written on the back of the postcard in pencil in the correspondence section is the message, "State of Iowa / Day Celebration / 1911 + 1912".
