Description
Postcard photograph of Palisade, Colorado's, celebration of Iowa Day circa 1911. The postcard is postmarked from Palisades, Colorado, March 18, 1915 at 7pm. The photo shows Palisade's Main Street, facing south. The street is roped off. Two USA flags and a banner that reads "WELCOME" stretch across the street. Storefronts decorated with American flags line both sides of the street, and the sidewalks are crowded with unidentified people. One woman crosses the street right behind the rope. 

Written on the back of the postcard in the correspondence section is the message, "3-18-15 / At Palisades going to / locate here. Weather is / fine here, Joe + Melvin / is here, we have been / out over the mountain / C. M. likes it fine / coming back this fall / John". Written in the address section is: "D. Reed / Los Angeles / Cal.".
