Description
Candid snapshot photograph depicting the digging of the Highline Canal. An excavator is partially visible in the left of the frame digging a massive hole on what appears to be a residential street, right in front of a house identified as belonging to A.M. Echternach at the time. Mountains are visible in the background. Three unidentified people are standing on the road in front of the house. 

Written on the back of  the photo in pencil is the message, "High Line digging R. M. Echternach House in background". Attached to the front of the photo is a piece of paper with the following typewritten caption: "Digging of High Line canal A. M. Echternach home now O. F. Christensen".
