Description
Photograph of a group of approximately 28 people, mostly adults and two young children, posing for a photograph at a dinner party. The party was held at the John D. Secor home circa 1906, located at 129 East 4th Street in Palisade, CO. J. D. Secor has been identified as sitting in the large chair in the center of the group with his wife on the right. Other people in attendance are identified as Mr. & Mrs. J. W. Richards, Judge and Mrs. Wilson, Mr. & Mrs. R. H. Bancroft, Mr. & Mrs. E. E. Hampton, Grace Oliver Butterfield, and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Sales. Four couples in the back are unidentified. They are posed in an ornately decorated sitting room, a fireplace is visible on the wall to the left. 

Two pieces of paper with typewritten captions are attached to the front of the photograph. The information in these captions are also written in pencil on the back of the photograph. The caption above the photo reads, "About 1906 - J. D. Secor in large chair / and wife at right, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. / Richards, Judge Wilson and wife, R. H. / Bancroft and wife, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. / Hampton, Grace Oliver Butterfield, / Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Sales / Four couples in the rear / are unidentified.". The caption below the photograph reads, "Party at John D.Secor Home, now owned by Mr. and Mrs.Kermit Hampton, 129 E.4th St.".
