Description
Black and white photograph depicting the a light colored one story building with a prominent bell tower, the second school building built in Palisade, CO. As indicated by the signs above the main entrance, the school was part of District 19 and was built August, 1900. In front of the building is a group of approximately 70 people, primarily children, all unidentified. They stand in rows in front and behind the wooden fence surrounding the school building, some standing on the steps of the school. One person sits on the fence in the left of the frame. Two small structures are visible to the right of the school, a train passes by behind the two buildings, and Mount Garfield is visible in the background.
