Description
Black and white postcard photograph depicting the Rifle-Meeker stagecoach, pulled by four horses. Two men drive the coach, two more men ride on top, one man is attaching something to the back, and more people are visible sitting inside the stagecoach, all unidentified. The coach is parked in front of a brick storefront with a retracted awning, no sign is visible to identify the location. Printed near the top left corner is the caption, "The Rifle - Meeker Stage, Colorado". 

The postcard was postmarked from Rifle, CO, July 20, 1910, at 8pm, and was sent from "Effie" to Mrs. E.J. Lewis in Palisade, CO. Written in the correspondence section of the postcard in black ink is the message, "Dear Aunt. - You / had better come / up and yell for / Palisade Sat + Sun. / Are not moved yet / but will do my best / to entertain you / Tell Grandma to come too. / Effie".
