Matted group portrait of the first uniformed band in Palisade, CO, ca. 1904-1905. The photograph depicts 18 unidentified men dressed in matching uniforms holding musical instruments. Director of the band was Clint Martin, John Donston was manager.Attached to the front of the photograph is a piece of paper with the following typed message: "About 1904 or 1905 / 1st Uniformed Band in Palisade, / Clint Martin, Director- John Donston,Manager".
Written on the back of the photo in blue ink is the message, "Palisade, Colo. / 1st uniformed band- Clint Martin, / Director; John Donston, Manager / About 1904".
