Navy Model 1851 Pistol, believed to be the personal sidearm of Alferd Packer after his escape from jail in 1874.Serial #: 78791
Gun has a 7.5" barrel.
Packer was recaptured 8 years later in Wyoming and brought to trial. The initials A.P. are cut into the brass strap.
